About Boston GLOW

Boston GLOW fosters opportunities for women of all ages to become empowered community leaders and active world citizens.

Through two specific program areas – Girls’ Leadership (GL) and Organized Women (OW) – GLOW strives to provide pragmatic programming, leadership training, and service-learning opportunities.

Our mission manifests in many ways ~ from connecting girls with women leaders for mentoring to developing programs for schools looking to fill academic gaps or develop their students outside the classroom. What fuels our mission is a vision for a community in which women and girls have strong voices and opportunities to lead and shape the future.

The women of Boston GLOW are driven – we’re fierce, fun, passionate about our mission and not afraid to speak up and to speak out. Boston GLOW exists to provide women of all ages a place to connect, a soapbox to stand on, and the financial and emotional support and practical knowledge they need to achieve their individual goals.

Girls' Leadership

Girls' Leadership seeks to empower teen girls in the Greater Boston area by building a community focused around educational encouragement, social discussion and cultural enrichment through mentoring, programming and other opportunities for young women aged 13-19.

Organized Women

Our Organized Women program works to empower, promote, and build community among Boston's amazing women. We are a multifaceted group of active, engaged citizens, including business owners, nonprofit leaders, artists, students, mothers, and friends.

We hope to build a community that supports our Girl Leaders and one another through monthly events, conferences, and sharing opportunities.

Boston GLOW welcomes donations large and small from individuals, organizations, businesses - anywhere, anyone! We are entirely volunteer-run and funded by donations so every dollar counts. Your donation directly supports a scholarship for a Girl Leader, opportunity for a student in our Girls About Political Participation Program or an event to inspire and connect the women in Boston.
